Overview

The Electronic Music Production Workflow

This project highlighted my Motion Graphics expertise by offering a creative take on the electronic music production process and the challenges producers face in staying focused on a single track and completing it

Planning

Desktop

Before starting the motion graphics, I created the storyboard to outline the entire walkthrough from beginning to the end, also explaining certain transitions and effects, as well as music and sounds.

Sound

For a video showcasing my motion graphics skills within the context of music production, I carefully planned the audio to ensure it complemented rather than overshadowed the visuals. To find the right track, I explored my folder of demos and unfinished projects for something suitable to use as background music. I also prepared a set of one-shot sounds from sample packs, and designed some quick sound effects with soft synths to enhance the audio without complicating the visual focus.

Illustrator Assets

The majority of my assets were created in Illustrator, including elements from the deadmau5 show. I designed the poster in Illustrator and then imported it into After Effects, where I animated each section to bring the poster to life.

Adobe After Effects Creation

With all planning and assets ready to go, I started video production on Adobe After Effects where I put all the skills I had gathered in the term to use. After the video and audio was good to go, I rendered the video and made some final tweaks to audio levels before submitting.
